My First Semester in Bukit Timah
I just completed my first semester in a school which name is of little or no importance. The first term was quite okay; just that I could not even tell where the exit was for the first week! Being a freshman in that school, I thought that I would be unable to ‘fit in’. I soon found many good friends. We enjoyed playing together and staying back. In term 1, we were very slack as the teachers did not give us any homework.I thought that the next term would be the same, and the terms after that.
Then, term II came
.
.
.
IT WAS HORRIBLE
Right at the start, the ‘meek’ teachers turned into ferocious lions, snapping at us over the slightest matters. Homework came by the mountains, and CCA commitments spiked.
I felt tired
I felt sad
I felt like giving up
.
.
.
Then, my teachers finally cut us some slack. We were given a breather. For a while, things were starting to seem like Term I. Suddenly, I realized. Projects’ Day! My group and I had completely forgotten about it! We were mugging up till the very night until the prelims. We were doomed.
To cut a long story short, WE PASSED!!! I did not even know how we passed, but a pass is a pass, no matter how small a pass.
That’s my BRIEF story about my 6 months in this school which name is of little or no importance.
